Description
7 Wonders contain Birch, Yarrow, Nettle, Sage, Lime Tree, Rosemary and Horsetail plant extract.
The composition of this mixture of extracts has been designed for use in products with toning and stimulating properties. In addition to these properties, each one of the extracts contributes with specific actions in our Poliplant 7 Herbs product.
– -The fundamental use of the Birch in the field of Cosmetics is in shampoos and lotions for oily hair and products against hair loss. The astringent action of Birch can be associated to Witch-hazel, Rhatany or Tormentil. According to some authors, Birch extract has a certain effect on skin elasticity and it can be combined with the action of Equisetum or Echinacea.
– Yarrow has its application in the field of Cosmetics in bath gels, in after bath products and in cosmetics for sensitive and delicate skin, due to its astringent, emollient and decongestant properties.
– In Cosmetics, Horsetail is used as epithelial regenerator due to the presence of saponins and flavonoids in its composition. These components act as healing and epithelializing agents on the skin.
– Stinging Nettle is seldom used and it can be said that the use of its preparations is nowadays exclusively limited to external use in applications on the scalp, as an anti-seborrheic, anti-dandruff and slightly revulsive agent. Therefore, Stinging Nettle is included in the composition of many lotions against hair loss. It is also applied in the treatment of some skin problems, such as psoriasis and eczema.
– The properties attributed to Rosemary are supposed to be linked to rosmarinic acid and flavonoids. The antioxidant properties of Rosemary are due to the presence of rosmarinic acid. Ursolic acid and carnosol have antimicrobial activity. It is used externally as a healing and antiseptic agent, and it also stimulates the scalp. It was used as a vulnerary and against joint pain, as well as a tonifying agent against tiredness after grueling work or long walks.
– Salvia has antioxidant properties attributed to rosmarinic acid, although picrosalvin, which contains two phenolic hydroxyls, could also participate in this action. It is combined with other extracts in the preparation of bath products. It is also used in anti-acne preparations.
Lime Tree is used in cosmetics because of its decongestant and refreshing properties. It is suitable for after-sun preparations, children’s products and preparations for tired and irritated skin. It is also used in shampoos for frequent use and in cleansing milks, due to the decongestant effect it produces and the soft feeling it gives to skin.
