Description
Citric acid is a weak organic tricarboxylic acid having the chemical formula C6H8O7. It occurs naturally in citrus fruit. Citric acid is widely used in food, personal care industry as well as industrial used.
In food industry, citric acid is often used as buffering agent, seasoning agent, or pH adjuster. In personal care industry, it is used as pH adjuster to lower down high pH product.
Citric acid is also widely used as a homecare product to cleanse coffee machines, stubborn stains, greasy equipment etc. It can be used to as to remove water marks of tiles as well. One of the reason Citric Acid is chosen over other chemicals is because it is food grade and less harsh to our hands.
