D-Panthenol (Vitamin B5)

Description

D-Panthenol also known as Vitamin B5. It is a moisturiser in cosmetics and pharmaceuticals topical products. In cosmetics products, D-Panthenol is often used as humectant as well.  It promotes would healing and reduces skin inflammation.

It can be incorporated in both leave on and rinsed off products. The recommended dosage used is 0.1-0.5%.

D-panthenol is often seen in hair shampoo and conditioners formulation. It binds to the hair shalf readily, coats the hair and seal its surface. It lubricate the hair shaft and giving it a shiny appearance.
