Description
Kojic acid is a tyrosinase inhibitor derived from various fungal species through fermentation process. The source of fungal species is from corn starch, wheat protein and molasses. The fermentation process is Ecocert complied and it is Halal certified.
Kojic acid is widely used in cosmetic products as skin lightening , skin whitening and depigmenting agent. The recommended dosage in skin care is 0.5-1.0%
Kojic acid has also been widely used in food flavourings at 0.2% to add luster or prevent discoloration on vegetables at 1% and 0.1% on meat production.
