Description
Methyl Salicylate also known as wintergreen oil, is an organic ester naturally produced by many species of plans, particularly wintergreen. It is distilled from wintergreen plant leaves and contains 96-99% of methyl salicylate.
It is an antiseptic agent in mouthwash. It is a commonly used ingredient in massage or aromatherapy products. Methyl Salicylate containing cream, lotion or ointments smells minty cold but it gives a warming effect to the final products.
